"Treat your attention with respect."

But what is right?

A dividing line has been created in todays society in America. The creators make the sides, and then facilitate the arguments used, in order to ensure the the divide remains. This tactic has been used throughout history to control a population. It’s manipulation, but at the end of the day, it’s up to the people to decide what they are going to believe, and how that will translate to action. So often over the course of America’s short history, the people have allowed themselves to become so preoccupied with our “rights” as Americans, that we forget what is right as people. We forget that every person is a real living, breathing, intelligent person with the same potential that we have. We allow ourselves to be boxed into beliefs that we have “certain inalienable rights” that allow us to “pursue happiness”. Using these statements along with the general terms such as “certain” and “pursuit”, we have become so concerned with ourselves and turned so inward that we have forsaken what is right in the names of our rights. We forget that it is the goodness of God that leads people to change. (Romans 2:4) Maybe we should take a step back, and look through the lens of Selfless Love, and see how He sees.
